Week 3 (Day 22)

Welp, I slipped up this week.   I did so good all week.  I turned down candy at multiple meetings.  Look at this, a huge bowl of candy:
I did great right up until Friday.  On Friday, Stefan had ice cream in the house.  I made a bowl for JJ (yes, I'm trying to fatten up my skinny toddler).  JJ took 2 bites and then wandered off to touch the TV with his sticky baby hands:

I thought one bite wouldn't hurt...and then one more...and then a whole bowl, and then some grilled cheese sandwiches.  Uggh.  Such a bad day.  I told Stefan that it was because we didn't have any easy low-carb food.  Sometimes with JJ I don't have time to make up eggs or a hamburger.  It's nice to just eat a hot dog or some lunch meat while chasing my little cruiser around.

I went right back to low carb saturday and then today (sunday), Stefan let me spend $50 on quick and easy low carb foods like lunch meat, hot dogs, tomatoes, lettuce, sausage, cheese, pepperoni, etc.

I'm looking forward to thanksgiving!  My MIL is doing low carb so we'll have a lot of low carb food as well as low carb pecan pie!!!  YAY!  I'm going to make Broccoli Salad

One slip will not sidetrack me.  I will keep ketoing on for my guys:

Day 5

There is never really a great time to start a diet, but 4 days before Halloween was probably not ideal.  The past 4 days I've had long meetings filled with candy dishes: Someone refills it after every meeting, and the meetings are so stressful I desperately want some!  To help deal with the stress I've been going to the gym right after the meetings are over. We went trick or treating with JJ yesterday, and got a ton of candy even though it we only went to 4 houses.  No one was out because it was raining and cold, so every house we went to gave us handfuls of candy. I made sure Stefan took the candy bag to work because JJ can't eat it and I don't want the temptation. Today is the first day of the month, so work has "cake day" to celebrate all of the upcoming November Birthdays: I was super tempted to have candy this morning, but since I've been going to the gym and being SUPER productive afterwards, I didn't want to ruin it. Day 1

Yesterday, Stefan and I took JJ to a city Halloween trick-or-treat.  It was raining and cold and JJ cried pretty much the whole time.  Of course we only took smiling pictures:   I was so stressed out, I talked Stefan into going out for lunch.  We decided to go to Perkins.  We got there and I went to sit down and realized I couldn't fit in the booth.  I was so upset that we just left.  I am not upset with Perkins, this is 100% my fault.  When we got home, I weighed myself and I am up to 305.  Ever since giving birth to JJ I've been vacillating between 280 and 300, but never above. Stefan and I talked about it and we're both going to start calorie counting, while I'm going to do low carb as well.  I'm going to use this blog to keep me accountable, but also to vent about food temptations. To keep me accountable, here is my MFP account: https://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/diary/Jeannettemazur  My goals for this new way of eati...

Day 9

I wasn't going to post today, but temptation reared it's ugly head, so I thought I'd share.  I got this email today: Seriously?  Why are they always feeding us here?!!!  Luckily I didn't get this email until I got back from the gym.  I am MOST motivated to stick to keto right after the gym!  Well, that and because I was at the gym I didn't see this email until an hour later, when all of the food was probably gone! As always my friends, KCKO
